Aegis main; Lightning Staff secondary; third slot flex
See all weapons in the Weapons Database.
Athena’s signature main weapon. Builds around shield cycling and benefits heavily from Cooldown & Damage tomes. Use Aegis as your anchor and play around safe, mobile positioning.
Hands-free chain lightning clear. Bolts chain between enemies for excellent crowd coverage. Pairs well with Cooldown. (Note: use for chaining/coverage; it’s not Athena’s signature.)
Boomerang pathing — hits out and on return. Great while kiting. Scales with Quantity.
Precision single-target option. Use if you prefer controlled angles and boss focus.

A common start is XP → Luck. Cursed increases difficulty—only add if you want a harder but faster scaling run.
Tightens Aegis cycles and accelerates Lightning Staff chains. Usually your first maxed tome.
Movement speed and mobility bonuses that fit Athena’s high-movement playstyle.
Crit/precision-oriented path. Supports builds chasing higher crit chance/accuracy. (This tome does not directly increase critical damage.)
Projectile count/coverage path. Pick Precision OR Quantity based on drops—don’t split.
Add after your core tomes are established to multiply output.

Major movement speed boost. Staple pick for mobility builds.
Direct attack speed increase. Synergizes with Cooldown and chain clear.
Converts movement speed into attack speed under the right conditions; pairs with Agility/Cooldown.
Reflects all incoming damage and grants brief invulnerability. Excellent emergency button.
Adds true evasion chance. The straightforward way to get dodge.
After a successful dodge, gain a brief burst (×2 next hit + temporary speed/AS). Does not add evasion by itself.
On-hit explosions utility — not an attack speed item.
Thunder Mitts: periodic lightning. Time Bracelet: XP bonus. Helpful, but do not replace Battery/Turbo Skates for attack speed.
Prioritize safety, mobility, and consistent DPS uptime
Look for Aegis asap. Consider XP → Luck start; add Cursed only if you want extra challenge. Grab Turbo Socks on sight.
Stack Cooldown first, then Agility. Add Lightning Staff as secondary. Pick up Battery.
Decide your path: Precision (crit/accuracy) or Quantity (projectiles). Add Turbo Skates to convert speed → attack speed.
Add Damage tomes. For defense, Mirror (reflect + i-frames) and/or Slippery Ring (evasion).
Max your chosen path (Precision or Quantity) and finish Cooldown/Agility caps. Keep moving; let Aegis cycles and Lightning Staff chains control the screen.
Use these when preferred options don’t show up
| Category | Primary Choice | Alternatives |
|---|---|---|
| Main Weapon | Aegis | — keep it core; swap only if a different build |
| Secondary Clear | Lightning Staff | Bananarang (mobile), Revolver (single-target) |
| Movement | Turbo Socks | Golden Sneakers (if seen) |
| Attack Speed | Battery | Turbo Skates (speed→AS). Power Gloves/Thunder Mitts/Time Bracelet are not AS items. |
| Defense | Mirror | Golden Shield (shielding), Slippery Ring (evasion) |
Use Lightning Staff for wave clear; Aegis is Athena’s core.
They don’t replace Battery or Turbo Skates for attack speed.
Slippery Ring provides evasion; Phantom Shroud triggers on dodge but doesn’t add evasion by itself.
This is a movement-driven build; keep kiting to maximize coverage and safety.
Aegis is her core weapon. Add Lightning Staff for chaining, and use Bananarang or Revolver as the flex slot.
Cooldown → Agility first. Choose one path: Precision (crit/accuracy) or Quantity (projectiles). Add Damage later. XP/Luck are good snowball tomes; Cursed increases difficulty. See Tomes Index.
Mirror (reflects all damage + brief i-frames), Slippery Ring (evasion). Phantom Shroud triggers a burst after you dodge but doesn’t add evasion.
