True full-screen coverage powered by returning bananas

Use Monke’s signature weapon, add one finisher, and a safety field
Monke’s signature starting weapon. Throws returning boomerangs that sweep wide lanes and hit on the way out and back. Scales best with Quantity and Projectile tomes.
High single-target finishing. Use it to clean up elites/bosses that slip through the bananas. Choose this or Bow based on preference.
Piercing line clear. Arrows pierce multiple enemies; better multi-target reach, less burst than Revolver. Pick one finisher to keep tome focus on Bananarang.
Close-range damage field. Constant area damage around you for kiting safety while Bananarang handles the screen.
Shield-style weapon alternative. If you prefer a defensive weapon slot, Aegis can replace Aura; it is a weapon (not an item).
Stack projectiles first, then speed and uptime. Details in the Tomes Index.
Projectile count. Directly increases the number of bananas in the air—core scaling for screen coverage.
Projectile speed. Faster travel and return make Bananarang coverage denser and more reliable.
Attack rate. More throws per second = more active bananas. Smooths the build’s feel.
Multiplicative damage. Add once you have reliable projectile count and speed.
Leveling acceleration. Useful early; note recent patches reduced its per-level bonus compared with older versions.
Better rolls and drops. Improves quality/frequency of choices; does not add crit by itself.

Increases attack speed. More throws = more bananas in the air—core QoL and DPS.
Movement speed. Essential for kiting and positioning—throw, reposition, repeat.
Reflects incoming damage and grants brief invulnerability. Powerful panic-safety for a mobile build.
Flat damage increase. Solid mid-late scaling when many projectiles are active.
Increases critical chance. Take for crit-oriented variants with Revolver/Bow support.
Increases Luck. Helps with better rolls and drops—note it does not add crit.
Converts movement into attack tempo (conditional). A flexible alternative when you already stack speed.
On-hit explosions (chance-based). Not an attack-speed item—use for crowd bursts if desired.
A practical sequence without hard rules—adapt to your shop and drops.
Prioritize Bananarang upgrades and grab early Quantity/Projectile tomes when offered. Experience/Luck tomes help early leveling and rolls.
Add Revolver or Bow as the second weapon. Pick up Battery and Turbo Socks to stabilize feel.
Take Aura or consider Aegis (weapon). Add Cooldown tome to increase throw rate.
Layer Damage tome and consider Gym Sauce for a simple power bump. For crit variants, take Forbidden Juice.
Picked based on accurate mechanics and slot types.
| Category | Primary Choice | Alternatives (accurate types) |
|---|---|---|
| Core Weapon | Bananarang (mandatory) | — |
| Finisher Weapon | Revolver | Bow, Sniper Rifle, Lightning Staff |
| Defensive Weapon | Aura | Aegis (weapon) |
| Attack Speed (Items) | Battery | Turbo Skates (conditional, speed→tempo) |
| Movement (Items) | Turbo Socks | Coward's Cloak, Speed Boi (conditional) |
| Defense (Items) | Mirror | Chonkplate, Medkit |
| Damage (Items) | Gym Sauce | Demonic Soul, Brass Knuckles |
Power Gloves are not attack speed. They add chance-based on-hit explosions. Use Battery for real attack speed.
Forbidden Juice adds crit chance. Clover adds Luck (better rolls), not crit.
Aegis is a weapon, not an item. Compare it with Aura in the weapon slot—not with defensive items.
Focus on 3-weapon cores (Bananarang + one Finisher + one Defensive). Spreading too thin slows tome scaling.
Projectile speed (Projectile Tome) dramatically improves Bananarang coverage. Don’t ignore it.
Core Bananarang + one finisher (Revolver or Bow) + Aura (or Aegis as a defensive weapon variant).
Start with Quantity → Projectile → Cooldown. Add Damage once coverage is online.
Battery (attack speed), Turbo Socks (mobility), Mirror (reflect + brief invuln). For damage pick Gym Sauce. For crit builds add Forbidden Juice.
