📝 Developer's Note
Yo, thanks for the great launch so far. I'm a bit tired but I've tried to fix and implement some of the most common feedback I've seen so far.
This patch focuses on making the Final Boss more accessible after community feedback about its difficulty spike, while also addressing character balance, bug fixes, and quality of life improvements requested by players.
⚔️ Final Boss Fight Changes
The Final Boss (Bark Vader) fight has been significantly rebalanced to create a more engaging and less punishing experience for all players:
🎯 Weapon Return System: For every phase, the boss gives back one of your weapons. You only need to do the first phase with your starter weapon now.
- BUFF Weapon Return: Boss returns one weapon per phase, drastically reducing difficulty
- BUFF Pylon Zones: Pylon zones are bigger and heal the boss less
- BUFF Orb Damage: Orbs deal less damage overall
- BUFF Blue Orbs: Freeze duration reduced from 3 seconds to 1 second
- BUFF Orb Cooldown: Orbs have slightly longer cooldown, reducing projectile spam
- BUFF Weapon Range: Increased weapon range during the fight
These changes address the most common complaint about the final encounter being too punishing, especially the weapon-stripping mechanic that invalidated most builds. For detailed strategies on defeating the boss with these new changes, visit our complete Bark Vader guide.
