🎩 New Content

21 New Hats + Achievements

The star of this update! 21 brand new hats have been added to customize your characters, each with a corresponding achievement to unlock. These are all new additions (the Santa Hat from the Christmas event is the only pre-existing hat).

Note: Some achievements are quite challenging, such as "get 4x stainless steel pots as Roberto in one run" or "get all characters to rank 100".

New Megachad Skin

A brand new cosmetic skin for Megachad is now available!

📈 Character Buffs

• 
  Vlad — NEW: Flat +5% Lifesteal base stat added! This significantly improves his early game, giving him 5% lifesteal from level 1 instead of waiting for his passive to scale.
• 
  Robinette — Two buffs! NEW: Flat +5% Gold Gain base stat. Plus, late-game passive damage increased from 2.5% to 3.5% per 1,000 gold after reaching 1 million gold. This makes her even stronger in extended runs.
• 
  Spaceman — NEW: Flat +5% XP Gain base stat added! This synergizes perfectly with his Quantum XP Theory passive for even faster leveling.
• 
  Dicehead — Gamba passive buffed! Reward multipliers and minimum rewards increased. Each dice roll is now more rewarding. Additionally, a major bug was fixed where the passive would only trigger once when gaining multiple levels at once.

Fox Adjustment (from Christmas Patch)

Note: Fox's luck passive was already nerfed from +2% to +1.5% per level in the Christmas Patch (December 25, 2025), not in this update.

⚔️ Weapon Balance Changes

• 
  Bone — Base Knockback increased significantly. Upgrade options changed: Knockback upgrades replaced with Crit Chance / Crit Damage. This opens up new crit-focused builds for Calcium!
• 
  Shotgun — Damage increased! Now deals more damage per pellet, making it even more devastating at close range. Also received the same Knockback → Crit upgrade changes as Bone.

🎒 Item Changes

• 
  Feathers — Major buff! Now grants +10% forward speed when jumping AND +1 extra jump. Much more valuable for mobility builds.

Other Changes

• Pots and Vases — Now grant a small amount of Luck that scales with stage. Smashing pots is now more rewarding!
• Za Warudo — Maximum per run capped at 25 to prevent extreme stacking

🖥️ UI & Quality of Life

Banished Items Display

You can now see your banished items when:

• Opening the pause menu
• Opening chests
• Interacting with shrines

Stats on Tab

New feature: Hold Tab to show your stats while viewing the map. Great for quick stat checks mid-run!

New Unlocks Window

A new window in the Unlocks tab (main menu) displays:

• Upgradable stats useful for different weapons
• Unique character stats and passives

Accessibility Options

New accessibility settings have been added, including:

• Enemy Attack Indicator Color customization
• XP & Gold increase text toggle

XP Shard Visuals

XP shards now have visual size differences to better indicate their value at a glance.

💾 Save Recovery Feature

A new save recovery button has been added under "Other" Settings! If you've lost your save file or progress, this feature can help recover your data using your Steam achievements.

How it works:

• Go to Settings → Other
• Click the new "Recover Save" button
• The game will use your Steam achievement data to restore your progress

Note: This won't restore everything, but it can help recover major milestones and unlocks.

🐛 Bug Fixes

Major Fixes

• Dicehead passive — Fixed bug where passive only triggered once when gaining large amounts of XP (multiple levels at once)
• Final Boss fight — Fixed bug where players could get stuck due to leveling up in the arena
• Minimalist and Pacifist Challenges — These challenges now work correctly
• Graveyard boss — Fixed issue where lights didn't turn back on after defeating the boss

Other Fixes

• Fixed Amog's passive description (was displaying incorrect information)
• Fixed Dragon's Breath description
• Fixed Steam Rich Presence issues affecting achievements
• Fixed leaderboard upload failures for runs with 350+ items
• Fixed various character heads/hats clipping through the Santa Hat
• Fixed cursor selection issues during level-up screens
• Standardized the order in which items proc (trigger effects)
