Meta Changes

The Kevin invincibility fix is the most significant change in this patch, fundamentally altering the game's meta:

Performance Improvements

Late-game optimization means longer runs are now more stable, particularly when using multiple projectile-heavy weapons simultaneously. This especially benefits Final Swarm attempts and extended grinding sessions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I still use Kevin after this patch?
A: Yes! Kevin still works with on-hit builds, particularly with lifesteal and regeneration. It just no longer grants invincibility through I-frame abuse. You'll need to actually build sustain to survive the self-damage. See our Poison Lifesteal build for viable strategies.
Q: Why was the leaderboard completely reset?
A: The Kevin invincibility exploit allowed players to achieve impossibly high scores. A complete reset ensures fair competition going forward. Check the current official leaderboard for legitimate rankings.
Q: How much better is Bush now?
A: Significantly improved! The passive was bugged and giving crit chance instead of crit damage. Now it properly scales with +0.5-1% Crit Damage per level AND marks enemies more frequently. Bush is now a solid A-tier character for precision sniper builds. Check our Bush Best Build guide and character tier list.
Q: Does Dice still increase global crit chance?
A: No. This was fixed in an earlier patch (V1.0.4+) but the tooltip was incorrect until V1.0.7. Dice now only increases its own crit chance when rolling a 6, not your global crit chance. See our Dice weapon guide for details.
Q: Which weapons got performance optimizations?
A: Nine weapons received late-game FPS improvements: Bananarang, Chunkers, Axe, Flamewalker, Blood Magic, Poison Flask, Black Hole, Frostwalker, and Katana. Check our best weapons guide for tier rankings.
Q: What about boss fights?
A: The Anubis boss fight is now more stable with fixed laser rendering. Space Noodle no longer causes boss stunlocks. For strategies on all bosses, visit our boss guides section.
