Pot (Stainless Steel) is a Legendary item that raises weapon level caps. The first copy adds +10 weapon levels; unlock it by opening every chest and pot in Graveyard's first Crypt.
Changed in Christmas Patch: No longer affects Tomes. Use Wizard's Hat for Tome level caps instead.
Open every chest and pot in the first Crypt on Graveyard. The displayed timer may reach zero, but only a short grace window remains before Spooky Steve arrives.
Unlocking Pot (Stainless Steel) requires opening every chest and pot in the first Crypt on Graveyard. Any character can complete it. The displayed timer may reach zero, but Spooky Steve gives you only a brief grace window to finish the route.
Previous versions required the Bandit character for this unlock. This requirement has been removed in recent updates—any character can now complete the challenge.
B-hopping significantly increases your movement speed. Practice this technique before attempting the challenge.
Crypt rooms have consistent layouts. Memorize common patterns to navigate faster.
Monke (wall climbing) or Birdo (double jump) can navigate awkward layouts more easily.
Some pots and chests can be collected by jumping and pressing E without fully reaching them—saves valuable time.
Before starting, disable all tomes/items except movement boosters to increase their spawn rate.
The minimap shows chest locations. Use it to ensure you don't miss any.
Pot (Stainless Steel) only affects weapons (not Tomes). The stacking mechanic works as follows:
Use Wizard's Hat instead! This new item (added in v1.0.49) provides +5 Tome level cap, functioning like the old Pot effect for Tomes.
| Run or build | Priority | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Extended weapon-scaling run | S Tier | The first copy adds ten more levels to every weapon cap, giving XP-heavy runs more room to scale. |
| Single carry weapon | S Tier | Extra cap levels concentrate more upgrades into the weapon already carrying the build. |
| Balanced weapon + Tome scaling | A Tier | Pair it with Wizard's Hat; Pot no longer raises Tome caps. |
| Short run or low XP pace | B Tier | The extra cap has little immediate value if the run will end before weapons reach their old maximum. |
| Version | Change | Current impact |
|---|---|---|
| v1.0.49 December 25, 2025 | Reworked to affect weapons only. Added diminishing returns: +10 first, then one less per stack, minimum +2. | This remains the current calculation. Wizard's Hat now handles Tome level caps. |
| Current review July 24, 2026 | No later official patch in the site's current v1.0.69 record replaces the v1.0.49 Pot values. | Use the weapons-only values shown above. |
