🗺️ How to Find Bandit

Bandit is a hidden boss that roams the Desert region. Unlike regular bosses that appear at set time intervals, you must actively search for him.

1

Reach the Desert

Complete the Forest region and unlock access to the Desert biome. Bandit will NOT appear until you've entered the Desert area.

2

Explore Thoroughly

Bandit spawns at a random location in the Desert. Move through different areas of the map to trigger his appearance. Look for visual cues like dust clouds or tumbleweeds moving unusually.

3

Listen for Audio Cues

When Bandit is nearby, you'll hear distinctive gunshot sounds and a western-style whistle. Turn your audio up to catch these hints!

4

Prepare Before Engaging

Once you spot Bandit, don't rush in! Make sure you have good weapons upgraded, health at maximum, and ideally some defensive items like Mirror or Kevin.

⚠️
Pro Tip: Bandit is more likely to spawn in the outer edges of the Desert map rather than the center. Try exploring the perimeter areas first. If you die during the fight, you'll need to find him again in your next run!

💀 Combat Mechanics & Attack Patterns

🔫 Quickdraw Shots HIGH THREAT

Behavior: Bandit fires rapid-fire revolver shots in your direction with pinpoint accuracy.

Damage: Medium per shot, but fires 6 shots in quick succession.

Counter: Use zig-zag movement patterns. Don't run in straight lines! His shots travel in straight paths, so erratic movement throws off his aim.

💨 Desert Dash HIGH THREAT

Behavior: Bandit teleports behind you in a cloud of dust and attempts a melee dagger strike.

Damage: Very high (can one-shot low HP characters).

Counter: Watch for the dust cloud animation that appears before he teleports. Immediately dash away when you see it. Aegis shield can block this attack.

🪃 Dexecutioner Throw MEDIUM THREAT

Behavior: Throws his signature dual-blade weapon that boomerangs back to him, hitting you twice.

Damage: High on each pass (outbound and return).

Counter: The Dexecutioner follows a predictable arc. Move perpendicular to its path rather than away from it. Stay mobile after the first pass to avoid the return trajectory.

🌪️ Sandstorm Summon MEDIUM THREAT

Behavior: Creates a large sandstorm that obscures vision and spawns cactus enemies.

Damage: Low damage over time, but reduces visibility significantly.

Counter: Don't panic! The sandstorm has a fixed duration. Focus on dodging Bandit's other attacks rather than fighting the cactus minions. AOE weapons like Aura automatically clear the cacti.

🎭 Boss Phases

1

Phase 1: The Shootout (100-60% HP)

Bandit relies primarily on Quickdraw Shots and occasional Dexecutioner Throws. He moves slowly and predictably. Focus on learning his shot patterns and positioning yourself to minimize hits.

Strategy: Maintain medium distance. Too close and he'll use Desert Dash; too far and his shots become harder to dodge.

2

Phase 2: Desperate Measures (60-30% HP)

Bandit becomes more aggressive, using Desert Dash frequently and summoning Sandstorms. His movement speed increases significantly.

Strategy: This is the most dangerous phase. Keep moving constantly and use AOE weapons to clear sandstorm minions automatically. Save your dash/evasion ability for Desert Dash teleports.

3

Phase 3: Last Stand (30-0% HP)

Bandit enters "Last Stand" mode with a golden aura. All his attacks become faster and he chains attacks together more rapidly. He also gains brief invincibility frames between attack chains.

Strategy: Patience is key! Don't over-commit to attacking during his invincibility frames. Wait for openings between his attack chains and burst him down with high-damage abilities.

👥 Best Characters for Bandit Fight

🦊 Fox
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (Perfect)

Why: High mobility with Firestaff's range allows you to kite Bandit effectively. Luck blessing helps with critical dodges.

Strategy: Keep your distance and use hit-and-run tactics. Your speed advantage makes dodging Desert Dash much easier.

🛡️ Sir Oofie
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (Perfect)

Why: High armor makes you tanky enough to survive Bandit's burst damage. Sword provides good melee range.

Strategy: Face-tank his Quickdraw Shots and counter-attack. Use Aegis shield if you have it to block Desert Dash.

🥷 Ninja
⭐⭐⭐⭐ (Excellent)

Why: Evasion passive can trigger on Bandit's attacks, and the execution mechanic works on his Desert Dash if you evade it.

Strategy: Play aggressively and rely on your evasion. Time your dodges to trigger executions for massive damage.

🤖 CL4NK
⭐⭐⭐⭐ (Excellent)

Why: Revolver has long range and high crit rate, perfect for a shootout. Crits can interrupt Bandit's attacks.

Strategy: Keep maximum distance and focus on landing critical hits. Your Revolver outranges his pistol.

⚡ Calcium
⭐⭐⭐ (Good)

Why: Speed demon build allows you to outrun all of Bandit's attacks if you maintain high velocity.

Strategy: Build speed early and never stop moving. Your damage scales with speed, so constant motion helps both offense and defense.

💪 Megachad
⭐⭐ (Challenging)

Why: Aura can damage Bandit passively, but limited mobility makes you vulnerable to Desert Dash.

Strategy: Only recommended if you have Kevin + Mirror combo for immortality. Otherwise, you'll struggle with his mobility.

⚔️ Recommended Weapons & Build

🔥 Best Weapons

🔫 Revolver
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Perfect for a ranged shootout. High fire rate and crit chance means you can out-DPS Bandit at distance.

⚔️ Katana
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Ultra-fast attack speed lets you burst him down quickly. Execute mechanic synergizes with evasion-based playstyle.

🛡️ Aegis
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Can block Desert Dash completely, nullifying his most dangerous attack. Shockwave counter-damage is bonus DPS.

🔥 Firestaff
⭐⭐⭐⭐

Long range and projectile speed make it easy to hit Bandit while kiting. Fire DoT helps during sandstorm phase.

💪 Aura
⭐⭐⭐

Passive damage is helpful but requires you to get close. Good for Sir Oofie tank builds only.

🍌 Bananarang
⭐⭐⭐

Boomerang mechanic can hit Bandit multiple times per throw, but requires precise positioning during his mobile phases.

📖 Essential Tomes

XP Tome: Get this to max level first. The faster you level up, the more stats and items you'll have before finding Bandit.
Damage Tome: Essential for all builds. Bandit has high HP, so maximizing your damage output is critical.
Health Tome: Survivability is key. Extra HP gives you margin for error when dodging his attacks.
Speed Tome: Recommended for all builds. Movement speed helps you dodge Desert Dash and reposition during Sandstorms.

🛡️ Must-Have Items

Mirror: Provides a second life. Absolutely clutch if Bandit lands a Desert Dash on you.
Kevin: Pairs with Mirror for near-immortality. Highly recommended for first-time attempts.
Health Pendant: Constant HP regeneration helps offset chip damage from Quickdraw Shots.
Speed Boots: Extra movement speed is always valuable. Makes all dodging easier.

💡 Pro Tips & Advanced Strategies

Map Edge Strategy: Try to fight Bandit near the edges of the Desert map. This limits his mobility options and makes his teleports more predictable since he can't go beyond the map boundary.
Sandstorm AOE: Don't waste time fighting cactus enemies during sandstorms. Use AOE weapons (Aura, Firestaff) to clear them passively while you focus on dodging Bandit.
Desert Dash Tell: The dust cloud animation always appears 0.5 seconds before Bandit teleports. Train yourself to recognize this visual cue and dash preemptively.
Invincibility Frame Timing: In Phase 3, Bandit has invincibility frames between attack chains. Watch his golden aura—when it flickers, that's your window to attack. Don't waste abilities while he's invincible.
Weapon Evolution Timing: Try to evolve your main weapon BEFORE finding Bandit. The power spike from evolution can make the fight significantly easier. Don't delay finding Bandit too long though, as enemy scaling increases over time.
Audio Advantage: Turn up game audio and use headphones if possible. The directional audio cues for Desert Dash can tell you which side Bandit will teleport to.
Kite Circle Pattern: The most reliable dodge pattern is running in a wide circle around Bandit. This makes his Quickdraw Shots easier to avoid and keeps you mobile enough to react to Desert Dash.
HP Threshold Management: Try to burst Bandit down from 35% to 25% HP quickly. This skips the most dangerous part of Phase 2 where he's extremely aggressive but hasn't entered Last Stand yet.

❌ Common Mistakes to Avoid

Mistake: Fighting Bandit too early in your run.
Solution: Wait until you have at least 3 evolved weapons and the Holy Trinity tomes (XP, Damage, Luck) before seeking him out.
Mistake: Standing still during Sandstorm phase.
Solution: Keep moving constantly! Standing still makes you an easy target for both cacti and Bandit's follow-up attacks.
Mistake: Chasing Bandit during Desert Dash.
Solution: Never chase him after he teleports. Create distance instead and wait for his next attack pattern.
Mistake: Ignoring the Dexecutioner return path.
Solution: After dodging the initial throw, immediately move perpendicular to avoid the return trajectory. Many players forget it comes back!
Mistake: Using slow, heavy-hitting weapons.
Solution: Bandit's high mobility makes it hard to land slow attacks. Stick to fast weapons like Katana, Revolver, or Firestaff.
